The founding of the People’s Republic of China is an important period in Chinese society. It undertook the task of the transformation from the new democratic society to the socialist society. Farmers are the largest basis. The useful education is an important way to gain farmer’s political identity. The communist party of China attaches great importance to farmer’s education problems from the date of birth. In the early days, faced the farmer’s lag of social psychology and production capacity, guided farmer to agricultural co-operation road, MAO Zedong putted forward "the serious problem is the education of farmers" seriously; in order to consolidate the new regime and reconstruct the rural base and cultivate educated farmers. This article from the double perspective of the theory and practice, studied in detail the process of farmer education theory and practice in the founding of the early days.The communist party of China took the guidance of Marxist farmer education theory, combined China’s concrete practice, and rounded the central task of our country to form Marxism farmer’s educational theory with Chinese characteristics. It included the class education theory, the patriotism education theory, the socialist education theory, modern education theory. Then the communist party of China followed the guidance of the theory, rounded the central task of the Party’s to give farmers ideological and political and culture education practice. For example, complained movement in the land reform, mobilized participation in the Korean War, cultivated the ability of participating in politics, learned science and literacy in winter schools, innovation old-style marriage morality, and removed evils in the countryside. In these practice, the party use a variety of educational manners to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of education, promoted the education of farmers to carry out the work eventually.The author thinks that the farmer’s education of the communist party of China in the early days is successful on the whole. It improved the great development of Marxism, Laid the stability environment of the social transformation, promoted the development of the farmers’ modernization. However, dued to the history conditions, it also had some limitations; such as politicized exist, simple and crude, impatient for success. Today, we must learn the experience from the early days, we should base on the principle of practical and realistic, explore new carrier, enrich the new content, strength the construction of rural cadres, to serve for the new development.
