A Study On The Thought Of Mao Zedong 's Military Modernization After The Founding Of The People' S Republic Of China

Mao Zedong is the founder of PLA’s modernization. In the historical process after the establishment of PRC, while elaborately operating the country’s overall construction, he paid great attention to PLA’s modernization and personally planned it. The views, opinions and judgments proposed by him on PLA’s modernization, which are scientific and true, deeply expounded the supreme importance and necessity, actively explored the patterns of development and the road of advance, effectively guided the progress of PLA’s modernization. What’s more, these views, opinions and judgments formed the unique and special ideology of PLA’s modernization.The thesis is formed by five parts. The first chapter, an introduction, systemically explains the significance of research on the issue, offers developments of research on relevant fields at home and abroad, introduces research methods and the train of thought used in the thesis. The second chapter systemically analyses three historical backgrounds of the formation of Mao Zedong Thought on PLA’s modernization after the establishment of PRC, summarizes the track of the Thought’s developing. The third chapter deeply researches the main contents of the Thought, focusing on five aspects, which are "aim and task", "policy and plan", "basic way", "central work" and "important guarantee". The fourth chapter distills the basic characteristics of the Thought from five aspects in particular, which are "practice characteristics", "Chinese characteristics", "prospects characteristics", "speculation characteristics" and "times characteristics". The fifth chapter summarizes the historical position and the guiding significance of the Thought from three aspects.
