The terrorism problem, which are spread from the second half of the 19 th century and attract attention from all fact of society after the September 11 attacks on the early 20 th century, are of the deep seated. However, so far lots of terrorist organization have made public statement that stop using violence, some of their group leader have been arrested, and some of them have perished, these perish terrorist organization enhance confidence of anti-terrorist, while there are many generality of their forming background, organization structure, the mode of activity, space-time,influencing factor. This thesis will choose 5 terrorist organizations that even attacked frequently and develop quickly but now have perished to do experience research, and by means of case comparing of these terrorist organization to find the regular factors of perish, what’s more, on the basis of the analysis to look for the breakthrough point of terrorism Organization.This thesis has 6 chapters in total. The first chapter is introduction, include the research significance, research approach, research status, research innovations and difficulties of the selected topic.The second part is expound of terrorism theory, include the definition,developing stage and type of terrorist organization. Through the relevant research, the difference between the definition of terrorist organization and other organization should be mainly concentrated in below key points: the main body of behavior, the purpose of the behavior, the behavior way and behavior object. the development stage of terrorist organization including: the early stages before the French revolution occurred, the development stages during the middle of the 19 th century to the middle of the 20 th century, the deterioration stages in the 1960 s to the 1990 s and the deepening stage since the 1990 s. What’s more, Terrorist organization types mainly includes three categories: ethnic and religious type, far-left and far-right type, special interest type.The third part is overview of terrorism cases. This thesis selected five cases: the IRA, Spain ETA, Japanese red army, Peru shining path, Italy red brigades. The IRA and ETA belong to national religious terrorist groups, and Japanese red army, shining path and Italy red brigade are far-left type terrorist organizations. This part will state the reason and background, leading institutions and organization, activities and majorevents, the demise of the space-time evolution process and the perish influence factors of these five terrorist groups respectively.The fourth part is the comparative study of perished terrorist organizations. After the explanation of the terrorist organization, this chapter will do comparative analysis of the five terrorist groups: the IRA, Spain ETA, Japanese red army, Peru shining path,Italy red brigades, and the comparative analysis mainly includes the content of three major parts: First, the analysis about comparison research framework of perished terrorist group; Second, the basic situation of the terrorist organization, namely the background and reasons, organization platform, group composition and activity way;Third, the temporal and spatial of the terrorist organization.The fifth part is the analysis of the affecting factors of terrorist organization demise. By comparing study about the perished terrorist organization, this thesis conclude that the common factors affecting the perished terrorist organization include political, economic, military and international factors. Specifically, some factors like political leaders, organization structure, economic source, military strategy and intelligence, international communication has an important influence on the death of terrorist organization.The sixth part is summary. Based on the comparison and analysis of perished terrorist organization, this part will summarize the regularity factors and breakthrough point to the demise of terrorist organization. This paper argues that the breakthrough point for death of eastern Turkistan terrorist organization focus on below aspects:intelligence, ethnic, economic, and international factor.
