Government Justice In The Period Of Social Transformation - From The Perspective Of The Relationship Between State And Society

Justice, as the fundamental guideline and pursuit of value in human society, is interpreted differently, depending on history and society where justice is concerned. Being as the ultimate idea of political philosophy, it’s also one of the heated topics that draws attention and controversy. Meanwhile, in the category of justice, government justice is both a right and obligation the government has to the society; an ideal achieving that the distribution of resources and social benefits is handled; and an evaluation system to check whether the policies made by the government are right or not. Key elements to value government justice are freedom, equality, fairness and efficiency. To study government justice well, one must analyze from relationship of Nation –Society. China is currently in the period of transformation, its relationship of Nation –Society still shows the typical feature of “Strong Nation – Weak Society”. The key to transform China from “Strong Nation – Weak Society” to “Strong Nation – Strong Society” is to strengthen the society, which will be achieved with the support of a just government. Therefore, the “Strong Nation – Strong Society” notion is what China must achieve, and a just government is what will come with it. If China wants to transform into “Strong Country –Strong Society” in the revolutionary period, government justice is what must be realized. To realize government justice, there’re mainly four fundamental paths. From the perspective of nation’s structure: all-round government to strong government; from social structure: “Honeycomb” society to public society; from economic structure: government-support market to government-lead market; from cultural structure: from secular culture to establishing a socialist sense of worth.
