How to tackle the non-performing asset is a hard nut to crack for bank industry all over the world. There are many countries who carry out long timex backbreaking and many-side explore. It's natural that there are successful experiences and in the meanwhile bitter ones. Now trapped in the same difficult position in our country. The departments concerned have done a great deal , but the effect is little as can be seen. Because the problem is associated with stability of the financial to find a way out . So given the case , it'practical to pursue the way to tackle the non-performing asset problems according with national conditions of china using the experience of other countries for reference. The thesis can divided into five chapters. The first chapter analyses the causes and effects of non-performing asset, and outlines the negative of the large amount of non-performing asset. The second chapter delineates the cause of non-performing asset. The third chapter firstly introducing briefly the typical measures taken by other countries in the world and then inducing from them four categories which may throw light on solution to the problems facing us. The fourth chapter is one the key points. The author tries to search the practically effective way which to reduce the risk of non-performing asset and emphasizes some problem about the asset management corporation. The fifth chapter is another one of the key points and suggests that to reduce financial risks, and overall mechanism should be established in the macro-economical covering state-owned enterprise sector state-owned bank sector financial supervision sector and so on, Establishing and perfecting legal system to control credit asset risks. On the whole, the article made a complete discuss on the current situation. The author proposes that the existed of non-performing asset should be tackled while the new potential non-performing assets are primarily keep preventing.
