We have entered into a new millennium. Looking back into the development of the human history, an epoch-making times was made with every technical revolution: 19th century was the times of railway, 20th century of highway and 21st century of networks. Networks have made people realized that networks not only have made changes to the life of the people by creating a new life, but also are making changes to the traditional sales method. Networks have been combined with business and coruscating illimitable brilliance. Futurists predict that E-commerce will in the future engulf the whole world at an unimaginable speed and an irresistible impetus. No businesses in the service rector can avoid the impact.Since the advertisement was initiated in Internet in 1994, many businessmen were conquered by the network advertisements because of their advantages, such as lower costs, wide coverage, all-weather release, no time or space limits, convenient inquiry and good interaction, and much attention is being attached to the prospects of network advertisement. According to IAB's statistics, network advertisement based on Internet, which is "the forth media" after newspaper, broadcasting and television, is becoming a black horse of all kinds of advertisement media and is developing at an astonishing speed. At the same time, Banner advertisement will still be the main stream of network advertisement. So all network stations or advertising agencies will take it as their main responsibilities to increase the click rate of Banner visitors because every station's advertising business can only be kept on when advertiser's Banner is fully licked. The design of Banner advertisement is of vital importance to every station's profits and will determine whether the advertiser's investment can gain the predicted result or not.Many domestic and overseas studies concerning network advertisement have been published on newspapers or released in Internet. There even have special network to discuss the matter. There are many kinds of network advertisements, of which Banner plays an important role in network advertisement, and there are a lot of reports studying network advertisement. Banner-an important advertisement of network advertisements has been studied in many articles from various perspectives, but only a few articles studied it completely, deeply and systematically. Although some insights can be read in some articles, they are short of solid theoretical foundation with many viewpoints farfetched. This article, the topic of which is centered on "how to increase the attraction of Banner advertisement", fully discusses with "eyeball economics" (or may be called 'attention economics') assumption of how to make a successful Banner advertisement in Internet. At the same time, a comprehensive discussion is made to Banner advertisement in the essay well-knitly with plain language and cases.This article can be divided into six chapters. The first chapter discusses the origin of network advertisement and its general features. The second chapter discusses the basic concept of Banner advertisement. The third chapter analyzes the strategies of Banner advertisement. The forth chapter covers the design and production technique. The fifth chapter discusses how to evaluate the effect of Banner advertisement, and the problems existing in our country's network advertisement and their solutions are analyzes in chapter 6.
