Somebody may say strugg1ing against feudalism is an o1d issue, because it is themain cause the Chinese were engaged in during the 1ast ha1f centuxy. People care a-ndtalk little after its system dissolved in furious storm and violent wind of revolution. Butstrugg1ing against it is actual1y a contempory prob1em, because the idea of it entered thenew society with a long tail. In the present period of reforming and opening, people canstill see its all kinds of imagest power-monop1ization, demoralization of administrationof officia1s, the offica1 standaxd of strict hierarchy, patriatcha1 system, phenomena ofpretending to be god or ghost. Feudalism ever made china of Late Qing to be out of theworld, made new China struck in chaos and poverty, now it has permeated into thecitizen's idea, prevented China from realizing democracy and restricted cuItivatingmodern citizens. This implies the task of struggling is still not easy.Wisdom will be acquired from stlldying history. The thesis tries to arouse theattention to struggling against feuda1ism and offer some significant enlighAnent in thetwenty-first ceatury.Revolution signifies abolishing the old and estab1ishing the new. StrUgg1ingagainst feudalism in china began from 1892 and stopped in 1952. The period is madeup of institution revo1ution and idea revollltion. Institution revolution weighs more thanidea revolution, so idea revolution seems not enough. Both of them are based onabolishing the o1d. This leaves the complex task: establishing the new in a1l society andabolishing the o1d idea.In 1953 China entered socia1ist society. The CCP began the work of eatab1ishingthe new and abolishing the old. But in that period, the emPhasis of strugg1ing was"Capti1ist idea" relating to commerica1 economy; The dominant system was the cefltralgovearient planned economy and centralization of auhority. Feuda1ism grew andexpanded When centralization tradition and system acted on each other. Pay littleattention to abolish the old idea, Pay little alleniion to establish the authority ofdemocracy, this was the main lesson of that period. The third generaI meeting of the e1eventh central committee is the basic turningpoint of new China. The CCP raised the task of clearing influence of feudalism remains.3From now on it will be in the who1e fraxne of modernization construction and relatedto modern pace of China: market economy is developing, democracy politics isfounded, spritua1 civilization is to be cu1tivated. All these show strugg1ing againsttbuda1ism is on its right way.People axe va1ued when they keep waked befOre achievements. In the early periodof socialism, market economy is not enough, democracy politics is not sttengthened, civilization is sti1l low. Feudalism occupies 1arge market, so the task of cleaxing it issti1l on a 1ong way.
