On The Party's Style Of Study

The issue of the style of study is the issue of the attitude toward Marxism. It's the correct attitude to use the Marxism stand , viewpoint and method to study and solve the practical problems in China. We must uphold and expand the correct attitude. The history of CCP shows: when the style of study is correct, then our course is in the ascendant; otherwise, our course is in the descant. Comrade Mao Zedong said: "the issue of style of study is of utmost importance, it's a primary important issue. "The discourse consists of preface and three parts of contents. The preface aims at introducing the contents. The contents is about the intention, importance, the history of practice of the style of study. Then, it analyzes the states of the style of study and propose methods being directed against bettering it. Part one: the issue of the style of the study is the issue of party spirit. First, the issue of the style of study is the issue of thought line, the core of it is the attitude toward Marxism. The history of party is the history of struggle about the correct style of study getting better over doctrinairism, subjectivism and etc.; the history of party is the history of the integration of Marxism with Chinese realities gradually. In the final analysis, it's a issue of party spirit. Three nuclei of our party's leaders all emphasize on the style of study very much, especially Mao Zedong is the first man who put forward the theory of the style of study intactly. Comrades Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin imbue it with new spirits of our age. In present-day China the style of study is the issue which has a bearing on the victory of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Part two: what is the states of the style of study in present-day China and what I think about. First, from three sides: practice, theory and mechanism of integration, what experiences and lessons did we have get since the party have been in power. On the basis of these, we analyze challenges with which Marxism confronts, there are a lot of problems in the style of study. The erroneous attitudes of doctrinairism, pragmatism, formalism and bureaucracy is being here still. There are a lot of erroneous attitudes toward Deng Xiaoping theory. Both objective things of social and subjective things of thought are all being here, but mainly is the latter. So we can conclude that: only when we cultivate party spirit and believe world outlook of Marxism firmly and solve the issue of "belief", can we solve the problem of the style of study finally. Part three: strengthen the construction of the style of study of Marxism. In view of problems of present-day China, "one center, three emphases" must be guiding principle of the construction of the style of study in present-day China. The premise of the construction of the style of study is we must be armed with theory. We must understand fully the meanings of Marxism, especially Deng Xiaoping theory in present-day China. We must apply scientific attitude toward Deng Xiaoping theory: apply it to guide our practice; develop and innovate it in the course of applying it. The basis of the construction of the style of study is to strengthen the cultivation of party spirit. Only when we cultivate our party spirit consciously, can we strengthen the basis of the construction of the style of study firmly.
