On China's Urbanization System Potential And Innovation

Starting from the study of the origin of city, the definition of urbanization and relative problems, this paper reveals that the backward in the Chinese urbanization is due to the upper-to-lower system organization under the planned economy system and the suppression to the lower-to-upper urbanization rising from the new emerging nongovernmental forces during the developing process from the planned economy to the market economy. The author believes that, with the perfection of the socialist market economy, the double system will be developed into a unified system. However, the later will not be able to substitute the former in a short period. Therefore, the paper offers a prediction to the potentiality and innovation in the arrangement of the lower-to-upper urbanization-developing pattern.
