Urbanization In The Socialist Modernization

The development history of human society shows that urbanization is the embodiment of social transformation from tradition to modernity, the fundamental part of socialist theory and the only necessary phase for late-developmental countries to construct socialism.As the constructional practice reveals the social developmental pattern of separating urban area from rural area goes against the trend of times and only leads to isolation and laggard. It is the result of the guiding principle that understands socialism on the stand of traditional peasants and overlooks the fact that urbanization is objective requirement of socialist construction. Going with the tide of historical development, emphasizing the importance of urbanization in scientific socialist theory and sticking to the urbanization with Chinese characteristics are the certain choice for our socialist construction.The research on urbanization of foreign theoretic field is getting mature gradually, but it doesn' t comply with the actual situation of China. The research on this subject has been launched in domestic theoretic field, but its mainstream is still conventional and political, which mainly stands on and seeks service for the subject' s or department' s own requirements.Started from the prospect of scientific socialism, this paper chooses Gegu Town, Jinnan District of Tianjin City as the subject, searching and summarizing new theoretic points from the fresh practical materials with the researching method of many subjects' intersection.
