It is the common task and holy mission of China and Japan to realize the good wish that China and Japan should be friends generation after generation .The trend of "hot economics and cold politics" in the Sino-Japanese relationship, which has been existed for a long time and developed further, has already been the main obstacle to realize this good wish since China was founded. At the beginning of the new century, if we let it develop at will, it is difficult for us to set up the friendly and cooperative companionship, which devotes itself to peace and development and faces to the 21st century, let alone realize the wish that Chinese and Japanese should be friends generation after generation. This subject, however, has seldom been thoroughly and systematically studied in the academic circles, so, an attempt based on ample sources and by means of historic geographic and international points of view etc, to enquire this complicated problem in this thesis.The thesis consists of three parts :In part l,the manifestation and causes of the "hot economics and cold politics" in the Sino - Japanese relationship before Sino - Japan reconciled. The author thinks that the economic hotness showed mainly as follows: the early time of commerce's interflow, the quick rise of commerce number etc, it was resulted in by the push of campaign of friendship at home, the characteristics of mutual benefits in economics and so on; in the same period, the coolness of politics showed on the refusal of Japanese government to acknowledge the PRC, its obstruction of resumption on legal seat of the PRC in UN etc, its causes were American influence, the contradictory of ideology etc ;In part 2,the manifestation and causes of the trend of the "hot economics and cold politics", in the Sino - Japanese relationship since Sino - Japanese reconciled. The author thinks the hotness in economics shows mainly the violent increasing number of commerce, the frequent rise in the layer of interflow in economics, appearance of this exciting situation mainlyIVbecause the resumption of diplomacy between China and Japan put the firm basis for the development of in economics further, mutual benefits in economics of both nation strengthen further etc; in the same period , the coolness in politics shows mainly the inflicts on the history, the divergence on the sovereignty of Diaoyudao and so on , the situation of coolness in politics mainly because of remains of ideas in cold war ,destruction of the right in Japan the trend to right of politics in Japan etc.hi the part 3,some steps to change the "hot economics and cold politics" in the Sino - Japanese relationship. The author thinks that we should do form as following. China should improve self's synthetic national power and react firmly to the harmful words and deeds of Japan; Japan should remember the history and restrain itself; China and Japan should build firm and ripe mechanism of interflow between the two governments; Both of the nation should reconsider "national diplomacy" and carry out the road of "national diplomacy" with all our strength; China and Japan, specially Japan, should fulfill severely "the three elementary documents ("statement", "treaty", "declaration")".The author followed this thread of thought, and tried to expound this problem thoroughly, and contribute my share for the lasting stable healthy development of relation between China and Japan, for the two nation should be friends generation after generation.
