In this thesis, Input-output Analysis is used in the research of water supply of JiangSu province for the first time. The primary contents are as follow:LA water supply Input-output table is established on the base of 1997 Input-output table of JiangSu province, this water supply Input-output table is the base of the follow analysis.2.With the Input-output table, the status of water resources sector in the national economy and the linkage between water resources sector and other industries are discussed. In addition, the possible affection of the adjusting of water price on other industries is analyzed.3.By using this method and referring to the objective of national economic plan, the quantity of water demand in 2005 and 2010 and the relevant investment in the water resources sector is predicted. Results predicted by Input-output Analysis may reflect the complex technological linkage among industries, which prevents some shortcomings if the conventional methods.4.The Combination of the Input-output model is researched in this thesis. This model is formed of both production function and Input-output basic expression in substance. The objective is producing maximum national gross output with the restriction of water resources, considering the linkage among the industries at the same time. An optimal industrial structure and a reasonable allocation of water resources among the industries are shown in the Macro economy model of Water resources .
