This study consists of a preface and four parts:The preface is about the significance, the intention, the approach and the structure of the essay.Part One provides the framework of the discussion on agricultural subsides, including the agricultural negotiation of the Uruguay Round and the agreement on agriculture.Part Two presents the positive analysis of several typical countries' agricultural subsides,mainly introducing the characteristics, the extent, the style and the reduction after 1995 of their agricultural subsides respectively.Part Three establishes the economics foundation of the normative analysis on agricultural subsides, exploring the economic effects of several common agricultural subsidy policies by using the method of partial equilibrium. The general theory of agricultural subsides is then introduced to explain the practice of agricultural subsides in developed countries. Part Four focuses on China's agricultural subsidy policies after the entry into WTO. Based on the induction of the performance and the policy scope of China's agricultural subsidies, Some suggestions are given to face the challenge accompanied by WTO.
