Research On The Cost Of Quality Management

The quality of products is very important to the survival of manufacturing concerns. Recently China became a member of the World Trade Organization. To meet the challenge coming with the membership, the business in China should improve the quality of their products.Quality cost management, which developed from the quality management practice in western countries, is a very important part of total quality management. Though quality cost management has gained some developments in China since 1980s, there are still some problems in practicing it.In this thesis, there are three parts illustrating the theory of quality cost management; the present situations of quality cost management in China and so on. The following is a gist of this thesis.Part 1. The basic principle of quality cost management. In this part, quality, quality management, quality cost and quality cost management are introduced.Part 2. The present situation of quality cost management in China. The author presents some results of practicing it.Part 3. How to improve the quality cost management in Chinese companies. According to the development of quality cost management in China, the author puts forward some of his advice and points and some problems that should be paid attention to.
