Study Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry In The Current Competitive Situation And Development Strategy

To realize the modernization of the whole Chinese medicine industry, we should endeavor to achieve the progresses in three aspects of the Chinese medicine: the theory level, the manufacture industry and the macro regulations management. With the limitation of research conditions, this paper concentrates only on how to develop the manufacture industry, with the inclusion of the factors could be controlled by the most Chinese medicine companies.The research begins with the analysis of Chinese Medicine industry competitive conditions, including the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The emphasis has been given to the discussion of weaknesses. In the following parts,the author not only reviews the government regulations and policies regarding the development of Chinese Medicine industry, but also forecast the future trends of the macro policies supporting the industry. Then, the research focuses on such factors, under the control of the most companies, as the operating concept, methods of R&D, marketing measures, acquisition and merger approaches, protections of property rights and the establishment of the guild. Of course, there are still many other aspects concerning the industry development as the human-resource, manufactory standards and so on. Because for the industry these aspects are related to the operative level, common characteristic or beyond the companies abilities (government actions), the author didn't spend much space on them.
