Democratic centralism is the fundamental organizational principle of Communist Party of China (CPC). Banding the fundamental principle of democratic centralism of Marxism-Leninism and the practice of China's revolution and construction together, the first generation of the leading group led by Mao Tse-Tung can march forward with the times, form democratic centralism with Chinese characters, enrich and develop Marxism-Leninism greatly. The democratic centralism of Mao Tse-Tung is the fruit of the collective, which is most important part of Mao Tse-Tung theory for constructing the Communist Party of China. For the purpose of summing up the experience and getting the enlightenment, promoting democratic centralism construction in new era, strengthening the activity and the unify of CPC, fulfilling the historical task of building an overall well-to-do society and entering a new era of building socialism with. Chinese characteristics, the dissertation researched the democratic centralism of Mao Tse-Tung.The dissertation consists three parts:The first part of it sums up the development of the democratic centralism of Mao Tse-Tung, which is characterized as the stage of budding, founding, mature and developing.The second p'art discusses the main content of the democratic centralism of Mao Tse-Tung, which is composed by two layers. One is the dimension of theory, which is focused on the meaning of the democratic centralism of Mao Tse-Tung, and the other is the dimension of institution, which is focused on the institution of party committee, institution of supervisory, institution of party's congress.In the last part of the dissertation, the author revealed the value brought by democratic centralism of Mao Tse-Tung and considered it key problem for sticking to democratic centralism to develop inner-party democracy. In order to develop inner-party democracy, we must take measures as follows. First, we must purge the vestiges of the feudal ideology. Second, we should protect the party member' s democratic rights. Third, we must strengthen the construction of inner-party democracy. Fourth, we should deal better with the relation between democracy and centralism, sustaining the uniform of CPC.
