From the starting of this century, the internationalization and innovation of finance system has been run more quickly worldwide. With the successful entry to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the four major state-owned commercial banks in China are all facing an important period of reform and development. The main problem for this period is how to manage the banks effectively. The author did a very good job at discussing how to solve the current problems of those four commercial banks from the management level and also achieved some valuable output such as some new thoughts of the management reform in Chinese state-owned commercial bank through this thesis. We could find five chapters from this theory. In the first chapter, the author analyzed the methods for doing such re-building of the structure of the commercial bank in terms of theory. Through the good framework in this part, we found the effective management of the state-owned banks is coming from the effective rules and regulations. The second part of this thesis particularly compared the different management style between the Chinese commercial banks and those foreign commercial banks. The author tried to find the right direction of doing the reform in the management level of Chinese state-owned commercial banks and we did get the conclusion by the comparison. The following is the most important part of this thesis: the author analyzed the current situation of the Chinese state-owned commercial banks, found eight main shortages of the management system, expounded his ownthoughts on how to optimize the management structure. From his point of view, the managers of those commercial banks should be bound with some effective regulations. He also proposed that the innovation of system should be one of the 'must-doing' things in the reform. Further to the discussion of the third part, we learnt the main five difficulties for achieving the goal of management system reform in Chinese state-owned commercial banks. A part of those viewpoints above, the author talked about the other reasons which could influence the result of management reform of Chinese state-owned commercial banks. A forecast has also come out in the last chapter to sum up the conclusion of this thesis.
