The Middle East is one of the major hot places in the world, which lies in a very special and complicated relations of Geopolitics for a long time , Iran lies in the center in The Middle East areas is an important and powerful country in the Middle East and Gulf areas and is important in geographical position, It is called both Europe and Asia bridge and corridor in the sky in the Eastern. It is also a theocracy country directed by the Islamic Ideology in modern world, therefore its development and changes will exercise an important influence to the Middle East and Gulf areas. The Gulf Areas is an important component part in American global strategy and an important place in its pursuit of single pole world structure, so study on contemporary relations between Iran and U. S. A has important theoretical and realistic significance.The thesis includes four parts in time order:The first part is about the state of hostility of the two parties came into being, mainly analysis how the state of hostility came into being, approximately from the broken out of the Islamic revolution to the gulf war , firstly review the relationship between Iran and U. S. A before the Islamic revolution, the main character of the two parties is strategic partnership before revolution , the Dynasty of Shah attempted to dominate the gulf area under the backup of the U. S. A in its foreign policy, at the same time ,the Shah Dynasty launched a civilian reform in its country. Iran was regarded as one of main backbones by U. S. A in its gulf stratagem order, tan played a role of gulf area policeman under the backup of the U.S.A. The white revolution launched by Shah dynasty triggered all kinds of internal contradictions and finally led to the broke out of the Islamic revolution in 1979, After that Khomeini built a theocracy country directed by the Islamic Ideology in Iran, In its foreign policies, Iran took the policies of exporting Islamic revolution and Neither east nor west ,only the Isralism, and strongly opposed U.S. A, the event of the Iran students detained the embassies of U. S. A led to the enemy state of the two parties ever since, during the war of Iran and Iraq, the behavior that U. S. A support Iraq against Iran intensified the hostile state.The second part is about containment and anti - containment, approximately from president Clinton come into power in 1993 in U. S. A to Khatami elected president in Iran in 1997, U.S.A take the containment strategy to Iran, U.S.A reinforce the containment from politics, economy and military aspects, the article mainly analysis why U. S. A strengthen the measure toIran.The third part is about the ease up and dialogue of the two parties, approximately from Khatami elected president in Iran in 1997 to 2001. in 1997, After Katami was elected the president of Iran , Iran stepped up the pace of merge into the international society, Iran amended and developed relations with gulf countries and west Europe countries . the civilization dialogue put forward by Katami warmly welcomed by the international society, and Iran protruded olive branch to U.S. A . The U.S government adopted the foreign policy to Iran accordingly, loosen the crack down to Iran, the tension relation of the two parties alleciated to some extent, but because of the deep contradiction especially in terrorism, middle East peace process and weapons of Mass Destruction still existed, and the conservative faction still strong in each. The relation was not changed thoroughly, the sanction was still in effect.The fourth part is about the relation from bush come into power in U. S. A. . at the beginning of bush's administration, bush's administration keep up the contact strategy of former administration, but after the 911 attack , American gradually adjusted its global strategy, anti -terrorism be placed the center of American foreign policy, during the Afghanistan war, the two parties cooperated secretly in a short time, but with the end of the Afghanistan war and American unilateralism expanded, Iran -U.S relation deteriorated for pr...
