Revolution of power market is rumbling along the whole world, which has breathed an air of competition and vigor into the traditional and monopolistic power industry. Our country is speeding up with power market revolution at the same time. Generationg competition is the core part of power market. So power enterprises have been confronted with a brand-new and allimportant problem. It is that how to bid properly in order to make profit of enterprise maximum and even to figure for extra profit.Power market is different from general market. This paper not only summarizes characteristics of power market and China power market, but also analyzes the factors which affect biding.Power market came into being as a fresh thing, whose revolution, generally, goes through quite a period of orderless and unstable time into a steady phase. Based on primitive power market and mature power market, this paper advances different bidding strategies.In primitive power market phase, this paper disassemble the bidding capacity into three areas. For the minimum area, based on the principle of reducing ceasing times and ensuring that power is steady, this paper advances the relevant bidding strategy. For the middle area, based on the principle of considering the cost of rivals and exerting the cost advantage of self, this paper advances the relevant bidding strategy. This paper concludes a formula calculating the slope of biddingcurve from the model.
