Improve China's Export Credit Insurance System Research

Export credit insurance is a quite important economic field between international trade and international finance, which is an insurance system established as a policy by the government to advance export trade and overseas investment. Many counties have established sound and complete export credit insurance to guarantee the remittance collection, therefore play an active role in promoting export trade. However, in terms of the short history of our export credit insurance system, it still has lots of flaws. This thesis intends to base on the discussion of the fundamental principles, then to investigate the problems in this system, and to further propose tentative plan of completing our national export credit insurance system. The author expects that this thesis will be beneficial in export credit insurance stimulating export trade. This thesis consists in two parts as follows.The first part discusses the fundamental principles of export credit insurance. Four chapters are in it.1. Survey on export credit insurance, which focuses on the discussion on concept, origin, development, features, category, functions and managerial principles of export credit insurance.2. Comparison with other related products. This chapter mainly analyzes competition and cooperation between export credit insurance and common commercial insurance, export goods insurance, export credit and factoring, so as to lay foundation for followed research.3. Comparative research on managerial pattern of export credit insurance. From national intervention degree and pattern, this thesis will analyze the essential operation patterns of the different managerial modes adopted by different countries' export credit insurance institutes, their advantages and disadvantages and the generalities of export credit insurance managerial pattern.The second part involves the research on completing our national export credit insurance. Three chapters are in it.1. Review of our national export credit insurance. This paper will evaluate the history and development of our national export credit insurance, and analyze howWTO agreements impact our insurance industry, especially the export credit insurance system.2. The necessity to develop export credit insurance in our country. From for points, the need to develop credit economy, to develop our international trade, to promote the growth of the enterprises and "going out" strategy, this thesis will discuss why we have to complete export credit insurance system.3. Research on the existing flaws and corresponding strategies. Based on discussion of the existing flaws and the above analysis, from the perspectives of government, society and institute, plans to complete our national export credit insurance will be put forward.
