Development Of China's Export Credit Insurance

Export Credit Insurance (ECl) is a special export-promotion policy established by a government in order to guarantee the remittance collection of export enterprises. Export Credit Insurance is one of three major official export-promotion policies which include Export Credit and Export Credit Guarantee. After China's Entry WTO all of the direct subsidies to export will become restricted or forbidden gradually. Export Credit Insurance, as a special insurance system encouraged by World Trade Organization (WTO) laws and rules, will become the major export-promotion policy in our country. Many countries have established sound and complete Export Credit Insurance System. However, in terms of the short history of our Export Credit Insurance System, compared with other developed countries, development in China is slow and poor in respect of insurance volume. This thesis studies the fundamental characterizations of Export Credit Insurance and emphasizes on development problems in China. The writer also puts forward his own opinions and suggestions to complete Chinese Export Credit Insurance System. The whole thesis consists of five chapters:Chapter I: Survey on Export Credit Insurance, which focuses on the discussion on concept, origin, development, features, category and functions.Chapter II: Comparative research on managerial pattern of Export Credit Insurance. From national intervention degree and Pattern, this thesis will analyze the essential operation patterns of the different managerial modes adopted by different countries.Chapter III: Review of our national Export Credit Insurance. The introduction of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation will proposed in this part, including of his product and the achievements since it has been established.Chapter IV: The necessity of developing Export Credit Insurance in our country. In two respects which are the challenging of China's entry WTO and thepresent economical situation in China, the writer discusses why we have to complete export credit insurance system in this part.Chapter V: Research on the existing flaws and corresponding strategies. Based on discussion of the existing flaws and the above analysis, from the perspectives of government, Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, Export Enterprise and Union the advice to complete our national Export Credit Insurance will be proposed.
