The Western Region Of Foreign Exchange Management Studies

Global economic integration has been a strong trend from the 50s of the 20th century. Many countries opened the national financial market progressively; released the regulations about domestic financial market and declared the currency could be exchanged freely. China also claimed to open the current account in December 1st, 1996.Chinese government began to implement the project of developing the western regions. With the opening of the western regions, their economic associations with other countries became frequent. Foreign exchange control had been a important problem from then on.Therefore, researching the foreign exchange control of the western regions has double meanings, both in theory and on reality. There are little researching and practice on foreign exchange control of the western regions at present. Accordingly, I want to offer some feasible suggestions by this article.I have engaged in foreign exchange control for some years and have some practical experience about it. So, this topic is a familiar one to me and I have some points of view about it.According to the reality of foreign exchange control of the western regions, I find some problems in it and analyze the reasons about it. Based on the analysis I put forward a bold assumption, abolishing theforeign exchange control ahead of schedule than the other regions.The first part of this article is a review of the foreign exchange control; the second part analyzes the reality of the foreign exchange control of western regions; the third part displays the problems in foreign exchange control of western regions and analyze the reasons leading to the actuality; the forth part of the article puts forward the proposals and the last part expounds the trend of the foreign exchange control of the western regions and some key items in the innovation of foreign exchange control of the western regions.
