British Blair Government Welfare Reform Research

This dissertation, resorting emphatically to the method of typical research, and making comprehensive use of concerned knowledge of economics, politics, psychology, sociology and so on, and has a study of welfare state reform beyond subjects.Modern welfare state is first founded in western European and American developed capital country after world war II , After thirty years' fast development, with the change of global politics and economic trend, welfare state suffered the challenge of politics, economics, society, creeds and so on. Since the end of 1970's, the debate about welfare state's crisis has become mainstream, the suggestion on welfare reform also has'become the main topic. Each government has taken steps to reform and regulate existing welfare regime. Among these reforms, Blair's Labor Party claims the Third Way. At the moment, the idea of the Third Way on welfare state is the main growing trend of western welfare, state.Observing the process of founding and development about welfare state, from the crisis that facing welfare state, this thesis emphatically analyses the routine, guideline and concrete measures, therefore further grope the direction and trend of welfare reform. All these analysis are based on the study of Blair's welfare reform.This thesis is composed of three chapters. The first chapter is about the history and existing position of welfare state; The second chapter analyses welfare reform of Blair's government; The third chapter grope the limitation, origination and developing trend through analysing welfare reform of Blair's government.Through analysing welfare reform of Blair's government, This thesis is to explain the developing trend of welfare reform, which is the third way, including privatization and internationalization of welfare state.
