Western Civic Education Molding Factors Of Enlightenment

Based on several researches on international citizen education at the end of 1990's, in the thesis, the structures of citizen education of some countries are reviewed and compared, as well as the features seen from the structures, two factors affecting the development of international citizen education, background factor and structural factor, are analyzed. In addition, the forming factor of the citizen education in our country is considered. On one hand, the excellent traditional civilization, the establishment of current socialist market economy system, developing goal of complete construction of Xiao Kang Society, and WTO environment, will accelerate the historic revival of citizen education enterprise of our country. On the other hand, many drawbacks still exist in our education method, education object and education goal. Even exists the trend of pan-politicization of citizen education. Therefore, in order to realize the revival of citizen education in our country, reform should be deepened, dialectical education should be stressed, systematical engineering of citizen education should be strengthened, all social strengthen should be developed to promote the citizen education. Three parts are included in this thesis: The first part explains the connotation and deviation of citizen education in the international view. The second part introduces in details two forming factors of citizen education: background factor and structural factor. The last part, core of the thesis, digs out the forming factor of citizen education in our country, and furthermore, explores a sunshine road to develop citizen education enterprise in our country.
