The Correlation Between The Free Trade Zone And Port Development Study

Since the establishment of Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao Bonded Area in 1990 as the first bonded area in China, bonded zones has been developed into an important portal of gearing to international conventions of China's economy, an important vehicle accelerating the development of export-oriented economy and a bridge between domestic and foreign markets.The problem of port-bond interaction, a new highlight of the development of the bonded areas of China, has aroused widespread attention. For one thing, as bonded areas are in the vicinity of the ports, it is necessary that the ports function as the portal of opening up and provide infrastructure facilities for the development of logistics in the bonded areas and to attract foreign investments through port-bond interaction. For another thing, it is essential that the ports enjoy the preferential policies of the bonded areas, extend the functions of the port and develop port economic with the backing of bonded areas. Therefore, the conduction of port-bond interaction will bring to the mutual development of the bonded area and nearby ports, stimulate the development of the municipal or regional economy and is of great significance for the development of export-oriented economy of China and the international competitive power of the city.The hypothesis of bond-port interaction has been put forward long before; however, it hasn't been put into practice for various reasons. Taking this as the theme of this thesis, the author aims at inquiring into the relationship between ports and bonded areas in the aspects of geography, economy and policy as well as the necessity of conducting port-bond interaction. Besides, taking the mutual development of Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao Bonded Areas and Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao Port for example, through the analysis of the status quo and difficulties in the development of the interaction between bonded areas and ports in China, in this article the author gives the connotation of the port-bond interaction under modern conditions, designs the models of the development of the port-bond interaction as well as the principle of the choice of the model, and raised concrete policies and policies in view of the development of port-bond interaction of Wai Gao Qiao Bonded Area.Liuyan(Communications&Transport Planning&Management)Directed by Prof. Zong Bei Hua...
