The Theory Of Public Ownership The Main Form - Joint-stock

This thesis makes a concrete analysis of the former misunderstandings in our country concerning the ways of realizing public ownership, pointing out that the conclusion that "stock system is the principal way to realize public ownership" is a leap in our knowledge of how to realize public ownership, and that it is a fruit of our Party's long, arduous exploration. Then, in terms of compatibility between the ways of realizing public ownership and market economy, and through analyzing the contradictions between traditional ways of realizing public ownership and market economy, contrasting stock system with the other ways of realizing public ownership since the adoption of reform policy, and discussing the effect of stock system on social and economic development, the thesis explains the reasons for which stock system has now become the principal way of realizing public ownership. It argues that stock system as the best converging point of socialist public ownership and market economy can, microscopically, make possible the transformation of managerial mechanism in public-owned enterprises so that they might become self-disciplined and self-developing market entities having full authority for management and taking sole responsibility for their profits and losses, and, macroscopically, greatly promote social and economic development in general. The thesis holds meanwhile that, in order to give full play to the superiority of public-owned economy and better develop socialist market economy on the basis of public ownership as the main body, we should, on the one hand, study and solve the problems occurring in the present stock system reform and, on the other hand, in keeping with the development of social productive forces and market economy, continue exploring ways of realizing public ownership that will be extremely important for the sustained and healthy development of our country's socialist public-owned economy.
