On The Scientific Spirit Of The Humanities Reversion

Science is the unity of the truth, the good and the beautiful. The basic spirit of science is to seek truth and be pragmatic, to worship kindness and attain perfection. In history, science ever freed mankind from the rule of feudal divinities and played a great role in liberating labor and improving the living condition of human beings. But since the modem time, science has given up the ultimate concern for Man in its development and application, and gone towards the opposite side of the human spirit, which results in mankind to face the new existence crisis, and brings people's common worry and attention to it. This article is to analyze the roots of separation and antithesis between the science spirit and human spirit, and seek the ways of their return and mergence. So the first chapter, on the basis of the present research, makes a systematic exposition to the fundamental connotation of science spirit and human spirit. From the static state, it defines the original relationship of the dialectical unity of science spirit and human spirit. The second chapter, in the method of the unity of history and logic, traces back to the merging source of science spirit and human spirit in history, and depicts the course that science spirit and human spirit separated and conflicted and their alienation to mankind and points out the origin of separation and confliction between science spirit and human spirit; from dynamic state, puts forward the necessecities of their return and mergence. The third chapter, combining the historical background of society and the demand of science development itself, illustrates the necessities of the return and mergence of science spirit and human spirit, and their tendency that had been taken on, and proposes the basic principles, which realize the return of human spirit to science spirit. The end of the article approaches the ways of science spirit's human return in theory and practice. Studying the question is very significant for us to surpass the antithesis between science spirit and human spirit in cognition, develops the correct scientific outlook, carries forward science spirit and overcomes the negative effects of scientific technology in practice.
