Research, Technological Innovation Process Models Of Innovative Network-based Industrial Clusters

As one special spatial organizational form of the firms, Clusters put up extraordinary energy in the economic systems of nowadays world and attract deep attention from researchers and decision-makers in many fields, such as economics, management, geography. However, many clusters are confronted with the problems of undound networking, incomplete innovation process and shortage of technological innovation capability in our country, which weaken the innovative advantage of cluster. So, this dissertation focuses on the evolution of innovative network of the cluster and starts out to discuss the issue of innovation process of cluster. The total objective of our discussion is to conclude the suitable innovation process model of cluster in every phase so as to develop the innovative advantage and improve the technological innovation capability of cluster.Founded on the literatures summarization about innovative process model and innovative network and case synthesizing, we put forward the three stage of cluster development: initial stage, growing stage and ripe stage. Then we discuss the factors and structure of innovative network and put forward the network framework in every stage. Based on this, we analyze the characteristic of cluster innovative process in every stage in theory: the innovative process of initial stage cluster will be a linear process, the innovative process of growing stage cluster will be a parallel-dominant process and the innovative process of ripe stage cluster will be a networking process.By analyzing the infection of structure and factors of network in cluster innovative process, and with in-depth case analysis, three innovative process models are summarized as: linear process model of cluster located in initial stage, parallel-dominant process model of cluster located in growing stage and networking process model of cluster located in ripe stage. Then we discuss the characters, localization of every model and put forward the direction of the model development We find out the most important factors of network in the innovative process by questionnaire of some clusters, and give some ideas of optimizing model based on statistical result.Based upon the discussions above, policy implications are outlined from three different levels: clustering enterprises, coordinating institution and public service institution and local government, to optimize innovative model and improve innovative efficiency. Finally, research conclusions are summarized and future research directions are also noted.
