This thesis is a research about the development strategy of the broadband business in Jiangsu Telecom. It uses the method of combining theory with practice. Founded on the actual investigation of the enterprise, it integrates the utilization of the related management theory like strategy management etc. The purpose is to promote Jiangsu Telecom to establish and maintain its developing competitive advantage in the keen competition of broadband business.Firstly, the thesis summarizes the development condition of China Telecom and Jiangsu Telecom in recent years. Secondly, after expounding the current situation and existing problem in domestic and international market of broadband business, the thesis analyzes the general environment of Jiangsu broadband business market by "PEST" method. Moreover, it analyzes the industry competition status of Jiangsu Telecom broadband business through using the five kinds of competitive force model. Then, the thesis indicates the strength, weakness, opportunity and threats of Jiangsu Telecom, by "SWOT" method. Finally, according to the above research on general competition status of the broadband business in Jiangsu Telecom, the thesis puts forward the general strategic target and explains the specific tactics from technique and application two aspects.
