While leading the Chinese people to build socialism with Chinesecharacteristics, Deng Xiaoping shaped his thoughts of agriculture, ruralareas and peasants in the great new era. The paper deals with the content,characteristic and apocalypse of these thoughts.There are four parts in the thesis. The first part reviews the researchby national scholars. The second part discuss the contents of DengXiaoping's thoughts of agriculture, rural areas and peasants, such as thestratagem of agriculture, the domain structure of agriculture, the expanddrive of agriculture, how to mobilize farmer's enthusiasm, thedevelopment approach as well as developing the enterprises in villages andtowns. The third part analyses the characteristics of the thought, suchas its scientific characteristic,its Chinese manner,its strong realisticcharacteristic,its tactic characteristic and representing the people. Thefourth part sets forth the realistic revelation of the thought, that is,we should attach importance to issues on agriculture, rural areas andpeasants, fulfilling the Party's policies in rural areas, increasing thedevotion on agriculture, enhancing the contribution of technology onagriculture, thinking much of the education to farmers, increasing theagricultural industrialization and striving to settle the issues onagriculture, rural areas and peasants under the guidance of the scientificdevelopment theory. All in all, Deng Xiaoping's theory of agriculture,rural areas and peasants inherited and developed the rural economics ofMarxism, which is the summarize of our country's rural economic reformand the guidance in the process of resolving the issues on agriculture,rural areas and peasants now and in a long time in the future.
