Small And Medium-sized Freight Forwarding Virtual Logistics To Establish Research

With the development of economy, logistics industry is prospering in the recent years. Although the investment in logistics industry has been increasing in past years in Xiamen, It mainly goes to small and middle scale forwarder industry, which is the primary stage of logistics industry. The present situation of forwarder industry in China is that the supply greatly exceeds the demand. With China's joining the WTO, foreign logistics giant's entering China will give forwarders more challenge in China.Firstly, by marketing investigation, general analysis, competitive analysis and requirement analysis, this thesis presents an idea that small forwarders can improve their service capability by establishing virtual logistics organizations and transforming into modem logistics based on modem logistics theory, virtual enterprise theory and enterprise stock theory. Secondly, the thesis analyzes the characteristics and problems in small forwarders and proposes that virtual logistics is one of the most effective ways to transform small forwarders into modem logistics on the basis of the economic environment and the current situation of logistics industry in Xiamen. The thesis then analyzes and compares three virtual logistics models and their applications and some key factors such as main alliance member selection, profit partition and information platform design. Finally, the thesis conducts researches on the application the theories proposed above into a typical small forwarder - SC Company.
