Nowadays,Lean production that derived from TOYOTA is the most advanced and effective production management approach. Its key point is to eliminate waste in all aspects of a firm's production activities through establishing production system with high agility. It represents the tendency of modern manufacturing industry ,It has been credited as the standard production management approach in the 21st century.In the book, the machine that changed the world,the author pointed out that the real surplus is the capacity of mass production without competitive advantage while the capacity of lean production is scarce. Confronted with the globalization challenges and competition from foreign competitors after the entry of WTO ,domestic manufacturing industry has great potential to improve its management.Compared with their competitors from abroad,they especially lack the scientific and systematic management in such aspects as process efficiency ,inventory control, quality control, equipment management , etc..These hinder production efficiency from rising further, can't meet demand for development of market economy. So,all these problems require domestic enterprises grasp the advanced lean production management approach.By means of implementing the former management system, they can move towards to coordinating, developing continuously, eventually, they can obtain core competency and overall benefits. But good ideals and methods are required to be combined with the reality. In order to develop the core competency ,based on the my practical experience in A company ,this thesis present some practical measures and proposals on how to carry out lean production. This thesis is divided into four parts on the structure. Chapter 1 introduces the major points of lean production.The key point is the introduction of system structure of the lean production. Namely Through the efforts in four aspects containing product design, process design, personnel and organization structure, manufacturing plan and control, enterprises can eliminate waste, idle time and reduce inventory, shorten production lead time, setup time , improve the flexibility to realize lean production. Chapter 2 introduces the A company, identifies and analyzes the problems on production organization, product design, quality management, inventory control.In the end, clarifies the importance and necessity of carrying out lean production. Chapter 3 is the major part of this thesis. Based on the analysis of the problems encountered by A Company, it puts forward the measures and proposals on carrying out lean production. It contains 6 parts. No.1. Set up lean production advancement group and create the atmosphere which is suitable for the practice of lean production. By means of establishing lean production group at all levels and making the staff at all levels realize the importance, necessity and urgency of the lean production in their minds, set conceptual foundation for the practice lean production. No.2. reconstructs the organization. Through the reconstruction of organization in A Company, which means turn straight line function institutional framework to matrix structure, strengthen communication and coordination and accelerate the response to changes in market demand, reduce the in-fighting, offer the foundation of organization for the practice of lean production, on this basis, change the mode ofproduction organizing, transfer push system into pull system in order to attain the goal of reducing the inventory. No 3. Strengthen basic management. Through implement of position shift, 5s management, the high-quality staff's team with good habit and discipline, universal skills, strong adaptive capacity, it will lay a personnel foundation for the practice of lean production. No.4. Carry out the total quality management During the stage of product design, through collecting relevant information accurately, trouble mode, Conduct FEMA, design management and view and, design schedule, domestic enterprise can not only develop air conditioner with high quality and reasonable price that can satisfy consumer. During the stage of production, the concept is important that product quality is assured by operation instead of check, through the efforts in process control including man, machine, and material, method, environment to produce air conditioner with high quality and less production cost. With the thought of teamwork, enterprises can promote the continuous improvement through such group activities as QC circle. Not only solve the problem but also improve the enthusiasm that the staff works, create the atmosphere for CI, good performance. The case enclosed in this section demonstrates how to develop the QC activities. No.5. Launch the TPM management extensively, Through training staffs, developing self-maintenance, define the duty of everybody in the company to shorten setup time, reduce equipment wear, enhance the...
