"All of the people bustling in the world are for profit. " (Social Economy Commentary Section of the Historical Records) The mental motivation of pursuing profit is the base and start of managerial compensation research. Compensation strategy and system are very important for a corporation to reasonably distribute new profit, to make employees work hard, to keep itself stable and to accelerate its development. Jiangsu Salt Group Corporation, which is mainly specialized in table salt monopoly, is a state-owned corporation of individual proprietorship. In order to get well with market economy, for years, the group has undertaken deepened reform, especially the distribution system reform. This essay seriously researches and analyses the compensation condition of Jiangsu Salt Group Corporation by the method of canonical parse and demonstration analysis according to the theories of the models for compensation management and the principles for compensation design. By research, this essay affirms the direction of current compensation reform and comes out with some constructional advice for the current compensation system to go a step further. In research, this essay firstly indicates two models for compensation analysis, which are about compensation difference and enterprise scale as well as compensation difference and average compensation. It also firstly indicates the view point that high average compensation and big compensation difference are the essential conditions for the ideal compensation of a corporation.
