Commercial Bank Of Ship Financing Business Risk Assessment And Control

With the development of shipbuilding in China, it is increasingly important for commercial banks to evaluate and control the credit risks associated with shipbuilding business, so as to meet the specific financial need of shipbuilding companies in present market environment. Based on an analysis of the macro-policies, business characteristics, present status and future trends of the shipbuilding business in China, especially in Jiangsu Province, this article employs the theories and experiences of commercial banks in risk evaluation and management, demonstrates the risk issues in financing shipbuilding business, and establishes an evaluation model on the basis of experts research. Credit risk control is a comprehensive process and commercial banks should exercise control on the whole process from marketing plan, customers selection, projects selection, securities requirement to post-loan tracer. The article finally analyses certain cases in this regard.
