Plato is the earliest thinker who probes justice problem systematically, his justice view is considered to be the comprehensive expression of one of justice theory of ancient Greek era. Various kinds of justice theories of modern times thereafter can find its thought origin from Plato. So, we must carry on systematic analysis to Plato's justice view at first in order to clear up the justice problem.Part Ⅰ elaborates the source of Plato's justice theory. In ancient Greek mythologies, justice is linked to destiny, representing a mysterious order in universe and any behavior destructing the order is a kind of unjust behavior. The early natural philosophers held that there was a justice principle keeping the harmonious orders of the nature in all changes in nature. And Socrates regarded justice as a kind of moral character and a kind of good and he looked for the good and intelligent unity.Part Ⅱ analyses Plato's justice view in three-dimension. Plato's justice view firstly displays a kind of harmonious human life order in which everybody can perform his own functions. Maintaining the order is an embodiment of a person's moral character, namely justice is a virtue that needs one to conduct. In Plato's view, justice is not merely a political concept and legal concept but also an ethics concept on which lay the dignity of city-state members. Finally, the realization of justice depends on the education machine of city-state community. Only through education can it help people to overcome the fierce his own soul and train qualified ruler and guarders for the city-state constantly, making the justice of city-state keep on. In this way, order, moral character and education form the three-dimension anylisis of Plato's justice view.Part Ⅲ elaborates Plato s justice view on the basis of justice theory of Marxism. How to analyze Plato's justice view is important to forming our own scientific justice view. So, we need to elaborate Plato's justice view basing on Marxism.First of all, the analysis on justice problem of Marxism is based onmaterialist conception of history and its primary principle is practicality. But the constructions of Plato's justice view are based on a moral history view. Moreover, Plato's justice is sel "-evident and its rationality needn't be proved.Secondly, Marxism holds that justice idea will be changed with development and change of production mode of people's material life and it has history and class nature. Plato preserved a priori and general abstract justice that can be suitable for :he whole community of city-state.Moreover, Marxism proposes the historical standard of justice is the unity of scientific yardstick and value measure, namely whether it accords with the objective law of historical development and promotes people's overall free development. However, the justice of Plato is to maintain a gift order and everything under the order is justice. Finally, Marxism points out justice will go towards communism community in the end, Howerver, Plato's justice is relied on Utopia. Plato's justice view fails to bring general justice into the process of history, so its justice ideal can only be a fantasy.
