USSR is the first socialistic country in the world. Its socialistic mode makes the socialism realized at first. Its successful experiences and mistaken lessons are the precious fortune for communist career that needs to be rationally summarized and referred. Mr. Deng Xiaoping has profoundly perceived the success and failure of socialism in the history of the world; rationally analyzed USSR's right and wrong and its deserts in the history by bravely liberating the thought on a basis of being practical and realistic; seriously summarized the experiences and lessons of USSR's socialistic mode at the aspects of thoughts & policies, social structure & development stage, relationship between socialism and capitalism, economical, political and cultural frameworks, party construction and diplomatic strategies; created a Deng Xiaoping Theory; correctly analyzed the situations at the time when acute changes occurred in USSR and Eastern Europe; established a whole set of correct strategies; consolidated and developed the socialistic career with Chinese features; and made a great contribution to the Marxism and socialism. All of these have presented the political and theoretical courage of a great Marxian. Study of Mr. Deng Xiaoping's concerns with USSR's socialistic mode will be more helpful for us to understand the historical status of Deng Xiaoping Theory as contemporary Chinese Marxism, the decisive significance of Deng Xiaoping Theory to the future and fate of Chinese and international socialistic career, and especially the thoughts and policies of Marxism. It will assist us to insist on the scientific Marxism and socialistic senses that are advanced with times.
