Peaceful rise, the national development strategy of China, is established on the basis of China's identity of its own national strength, interests and the profound changes in contemporary international relations. Political decision-makers and International relation scholars have been paying much attention to the strategy. By forecasting, judging and evaluating the implement and the impact of the peaceful rise strategy, the political decision-makers accordingly formulate and adjust their own foreign policies. The international relation scholars offer political decision-makers the theoretical references and advice for the policies. Till now scholars have mainly emphasized their research on the national and international environments, the feasible way and the possible impact of China's rise. Owing to the scholars' various world views and methodology, the theory paradigm and research methods they choose are accordingly different; as a result, their conclusions on China's peaceful rise vary greatly. The differences are mainly manifested in these conflicting viewpoints, such as the Chinese deterrence theory, Chinese collapse theory, Chinese opportunity theory and so on, All the disagreements focus on the possible influence brought by China's rise toward the current international order.Domestic and foreign scholars have done much work on the study of peaceful rise. On the basis of their achievements, this thesis will focus on the theoretical analysis of China's rise and the relationship between China's rise and East Asia order, and then forecast the peaceful conditions after the transform of East Asia order. The thesis is structured as follows:In chapter 1, the necessary theoretical premise is set by choosing and integrating some basic views from different paradigms of international relation theory. In chapter 2, at first rise is defined in terms of power, the fundamental concept in international relation theory, secondly the possible impact of China's rise is deduced according to some logic of realism, and then the influences of rise are explained in terms of rational logic. In chapter 3, the general theory of international order is applied to the analysis of regional order in East Asia, and it is discussed how the three factors play active role in the East Asia region.
