In the process of industrialization and modernization, the mobility and migration of rural population is a universal problem. For the present, China's social structure is in the middle of transformation, naturally, the mobility and migration of farmers has become the focus of sociological study. On the basis of former research, the author starts from the existing research condition, through intensive study of the nearby mobility of farmers in a village under the constrains of outer macro conditions, attempts to figure out how individual farmers make their decisions in their everyday lives (move to cities? come back to village, or swing between city and village), what are the reasons for their decisions they make for the moment, how they achieve the maximum of using existing resource, how they achieve the best effect, how they achieve balance in the tensile field of "repression" from macro conditions and the "outward propping up" from micro individuals. Through the full-scale description and intensive analysis of mobility of farmers in this village, the author tries to predict the trends of farmer's mobility, in this sense, this research has some down-to-earth values.This research belongs to field study, acquiring relevant data by using social survey and interview methods. In analyzing acquired data, this research adopts quantitative and qualitative methods. In methodology, this research combines humanism and positivism.This dissertation is composed of four parts.The first part is introduction. In this part, the author introduces the genesis of this research, brings forward the topic and basic way of thinking.The second part is chapter 2. This chapter is composed of three parts. Firstly, it defines some relevant concepts clearly through sociological perspective. These concepts include farmers, farmer workers, mobility and migration. Secondly, it discusses relevant former researches through perspectives of motives of mobility, the choice for ways of mobility, the constraining factors in mobility, the stratification in mobility, the duality in labor market, the rights of farmer workers and urbanization in mobility.
