Common prosperity is always people's relentless pursuit; at the same time is also an important part of Deng Xiaoping Theory. Deng Xiaoping on the basis of inheritance and development of predecessors proposed the common prosperity's historical status, contents, conditions, realization of ways and so on, and enriched and developed the theory of scientific socialism. Today, as we face the growing gap between rich and poor, Deng Xiaoping's common prosperity ideology is without doubt the sharp weapon to solve it. Depending upon Deng Xiaoping's reform and opening theory, we have made great progress; solving the gap between rich and poor, we still need Deng Xiaoping's common prosperity ideology. Through reviewing and exploring the ideas of Deng Xiaoping's common prosperity, seeking the best solution to the gap between the rich and the poor is the intention of this article.This article is divided into three parts:The first part elaborates Deng Xiaoping enriched and developed the common prosperity ideology on the foundation of predecessor, proposed common prosperity is the socialistic essential characteristic, its premise is liberating and the developing productive forces; content including material civilization and spiritual civilization; the system safeguard is the socialist system.The second part elaborates Deng Xiaoping concerning the realization way to achieving common prosperity: the rich leads the poor, finally realizing the common prosperity.The third part taking the Deng Xiaoping's common prosperity ideology as the guidance, analyzes the present situation, causes and countermeasures should be taken of the gap between the rich and the poor in our country.
