With the rise of politics election, Hong Kong's party politics gradually developed in the British government's reform of the political structure in 1980s . After the reunification, "one country, two systems" has provided a greater political space for the development of Hong Kong's party politics. Hong Kong's party politics has become mature, which has a far-reaching influence on the political and social life in Hong Kong. Under such circumstances, it is meaningful to analyze and research the party politics in Hong Kong. That has undoubtedly theoretical and profound practical significance.By means of the general principles of political science and party politics theory and by combining political, economic, cultural and other characteristics of reality, this article makes a systematical analysis and research of the historical background, current status, characteristics and operation of the law of Hong Kong party politics. It has made a multi-angle, multi-level forecast and exploration of trends and impact of the party politics in Hong Kong.The full text is divided into three parts :The first part describes the historical background of Hong Kong's party politics . On the basis of the analysis of the period during which there was no party politics in Hong Kong's political life, the paper focuses on the reform and influence of "representative government" on the British government in 1980s and 1990s, which directly led to the emergence of party politics. Finally, the paper describes and analyzes party politics after the handover of Hong Kong.The second part analyzes the status quo and characteristics of Hong Kong party politics . From the perspective of present situation, the structure of party politics in Hong Kong has basically stereotype, but due to various constraints, the overall level of party politics was low and its influence was limited. On the basis of HK's party politics status quo, the paper studies the characteristics of party politics in Hong Kong from the perspective of party politics types, activities and the influential factors. In particular, the paper researches the characteristics of incomplete form and the influence of the West led by Britain and the United States.The third part makes a forecast and analysis of the trends and impact of party politics in Hong Kong. In short term, political development in Hong Kong will maintain in a low level, but in the long run, party politics and political reform will gradually march forward. In the future the ruling party will not appear, but it is possible for the political parties to have control of political power in Hong Kong. The existence and development of Hong Kong's party politics have a far-reaching impact on Hong Kong's political, social life and the process of democratization. In addition, the existence and development of Hong Kong's party politics has raised some challenges for the implementation of " Hong Kong Basic Law" and the central government's policy in Hong Kong.
