Hong Kong youth are the future of Hong Kong.In the past two decades since the implementation of "one country, two systems",Hong Kong youth's national identity has still not been established. The majority of young people in Hong Kong were born after the return and did not experience the era of Hong Kong-British colonial government. They are keen to strengthen their local identity and weaken national identity through various means. The root causes are numerous and complicated. The Hong Kong media's influence on young people is one of the most important reasons. In recent years, the radical media represented by "Apple Daily" and "Oriental Daily" have occupied the mainstream of Hong Kong media and have quite a market among young people. However, these media reports on the Mainland are mostly false, and even deliberately distort or over-interpret it to cater to readers, and to a certain extent have guided and inspired readers, especially the negative emotions of young people. On the whole, this type of media has a negative impact on Hong Kong youth's perceptions, feelings, and behavior regarding national identity.Facing these influences, and regulating the development of the Hong Kong media within a feasible scope, and reducing its negative effects on young people in the media reports on the Mainland,is an inherent requirement for the smooth progress of Hong Kong's "one country, two systems".Based on the above intent, this article first reviews the changes in Hong Kong youth national identity before and after Hong Kong's return and the role played by the Hong Kong media during this process. It discusses the theory and facts of Hong Kong media's downsizing of Hong Kong young national identity in recent years. On the pave.Secondly, from the three dimensions of cognition, emotion and behavior,Hong Kong media has conducted an in-depth analysis of the negative impact of Hong Kong media on young people's identity in national identity. Finally,in proposing the "one country, two systems" practice,it is necessary to properly regulate the development of Hong Kong's media, and establish the bottom line principle, sense of responsibility, and supervision mechanism so as to enable the media to serve as the youth of Hong Kong to correctly establish the national identity. The guide, not the detachment.
