In social activities, people's philosophy of getting with others is formed. Whileintegrated with national identity, their philosophy of relationship between nation and citizensis formed. In the international communications, their philosophy of relationship amongnations is formed. Diplomatic philosophy takes diplomatic relationship and the most commonproblem of diplomacy as objectives, manifesting a country's political philosophy in theinternational arena, going through processes of "personal-political-diplomatic" philosophies.China is the largest developing country and the country with fastest growth ofcomprehensive national power, while the United States is the only super power in the world.Different national situations decide the differences between Chinese and US diplomaticphilosophy. Chinese take "integrity of heaven and human beings" as their values, taking"Being a Saint" as personal objective, integrated with Chinese national identity of"Blendedness of Multi-cultures", forming the political philosophy of "Governance withBenevolence" and diplomatic philosophy of "Harmonious World" in international affairs.Different from China, the U.S. takes Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) as their values, emphasizing individualism in personal relations, integrated with the White Anglo-SaxonProtestant national identity, forming its American Creed" political philosophy, resulting theU.S. diplomatic philosophy densely tented by ideology. This thesis, by comparing Chinese and US diplomatic philosophies, tries to explore theprimary reasons for prejudices of between China and the U.S., applying Hermeneutics in theWestern Philosophy, arguing the necessity and possibility for countries with prejudices tobuild mutual trusts through communication. In current and future international system, Chinashould play an optimistic and active role in promoting world peace, finding ways to createnew visions with the U.S., such as "good global governance", "world" sense in cooperativewin-win situation and "harmony" in multilateral trust building, making the internationalenvironment in favor of China's development.
