The notary system originated from the Western culture. In the countries of the Continental law system, the notary system is playing a vital role in preventing disputes and regulating the economic order. Currently, notarization involves all areas of social life in our country, and plays a key role in social and economic activities. The notary system of China is renowned in the world and has become an integral part of our country's legal system and a great force in credit building. However, with the further development of our country's market economy system, the notary system under the former planned economy is increasingly unfit for the new situation, and it will have practical, far-reaching significance to study our country's notary system theoretically.This article contains 3 chapters. Chapter 1 is a general description of the notary system, including the concept and features of notarization, origin and development of the notary systems of foreign countries and our country, and an analysis of possible modes of notary bodies. Chapter 2 analyzes the present situation and existing problems of our country's notary system, including the defects in our country's legal system, crisis faced by the notary management system, and independence of notary bodies and notaries. Chapter 3 puts forward several assumptions on how to perfect our country's notary system.In sum, this article makes an analysis and demonstration of the current problems in the notary industry of our country based on its own characteristics while recognizes the achievements of the present notary reform, and calls for theoretical and practical attention to these problems, especially a management review. The aim is to promote the healthy development of and give full play to our country's notary system.
