Early Sunan Land Reform

This paper take Southern Jiangsu as a case, the scope of inspection time become July 1950 to March 1951. It contents five parts: the necessarty of land reform in Southern Jiangsu; the land reform process in Southern Jiangsu;the main and the special contradiction in the process of land reform; the confluence of Southern Jiangsu's land reform to agricultural production ; the experience and lesson from Southern Jiangsu's land reform.After the liberation of Southern Jiangsu, in order to complete the remained task of the democratic revolution successfully,change the irrational land tenure system and wipe out the road which hampers the development of agricultural production, land reform was carried out in Southern Jiangsu as soon as quickly. The whole land reform consisted of three stages and five steps from July 1950 to March 1951.In the land reform process, Southern Jiangsu faced the same major contradiction compared with other new liberated areas. That is the contradiction between unscrupulous landlords and masses of peasants. Meanwhile,it faced the special contradiction compared with other new liberated areas.That is the contradiction between landowners who also operated industry and commerce and masses of peasants. How to deal with the two contradictions reasonably, it is very important for the land reform. Land reform and agricultural production are closely related.From the analysis of different feelings showed after the land reform of each class and state of the agricultural production tools in the course of the land reform, I inspect the influence of the land reform from another perspective.Shortly, the completion of land reform in Southern Jiangsu had great historical significance, but there were also some mistakes and deviation which shoud be studyed.In this paper,I attempt to achieve breaks through thr following three aspects:Firstly, descript the detailed processes of the land reform. From the preparatory stage to the concluding stage,I try to find which process focus on and what specific policies,regulations and laws in each stage promoted the land reform.Secondly,evaluate the land reform in Southern Jiangsu reasonably. As the land reform in Southern Jiangsu,we must approve the historical significance, but also point out the mistakes and deviation.That is to say:we can not ignore the mistakes or deviation in the process of land reform because of overthrewing the feudal land system. Meanwhile, we can not reduce the significance of the land reform areas in southern Jiangsu because of the errors and distortions.Thirdly, from the subtle parts of the land reform in Sourthern Jiangsu,I try to find some influences of the land reform to the agricultural production in Sourthern Jiangsu. From a long-term view, the land reform will promote the agricultural productivity and the development of agricultural production definitely. But the land reform is a deeply revolution, there are still some forces which obstruct or destroy the development of agriculture productive,even they just exist a short-term. How to analysis the short process is valuable to today's research.
