On Locke's Constitutional Ideas Of Limited Government Of China Construction

John Locke was the first thinkers of Thoughts of Limited Government in modern times, his thoughts had a great influence on the development of modern and contemporary western political and legal theories. The formation of Thoughts of Limited Government had specific political and culture background.Establishing an active government is vitally important to a country and to its people. An active governmental system cannot only make the nation prosperous but also make the country keeping a long-term development and stability. China has always pursued historically a political-society structure of "Powerful Government and Weak Society" which is called unlimited government. Since carrying out the policy of reform and opening to the outside world, we are seeking a way to reform our political system and benefit a lot from the practice. The objective cognition of economy and society development status quo and traditional culture to our present country further manifest that it has been a must for society and history development to establish a limited government. But seeing that the facts of our national conditions, we cannot practice wholly the western limited government system. On the contrary, we should, on the premise of ensuring the political stability of our country, establish a limited government system of our own gradually. Based on cognition above, the author of this dissertation think about how to establish a limited system of our own and raise some inquiring cognition.
