Locke is a famous British philosopher, jurist, and representative of British empiricism.Locke was the first philosopher to systematically elaborate on the idea of democratic constitutionalism and advocated the "natural rights" of human beings. His finite government theory is based on the natural state, based on the theory of social contract, property rights, the rule of law and the theory of natural rights of human rights, and critically inherits the absolute monarchy of Robert Filler and the binary political view of medieval Christianity. The connotation of limited government theory includes the origin and purpose of the government, the restrictions of the government's own organization, and the external restrictions of the government.Specifically, the government's own organization's restrictions include both the rule of law and decentralization. The external restrictions of the government include people's sovereignty and social revolution. The theory of limited government has great significance to the construction of government models from the beginning, and has made outstanding contributions to the history of Western political thoughts. At the same time,it inevitably has the limitations of the times, that is,the definition of "people" is too narrow and has assets. The weakness and compromise of class and the lack of objective reality. When China absorbs the limited government theory of Locke,it must "take its essence and go to its dross".The key point is to do a good job of restricting government power to better protect citizens' rights, implement the rule of law, rationally divide and supervise power, and install power. In the cage of the system,we will promote the construction of the rule of law government in China better and faster.
