Compared with post-reform & opening-up period, Chinese diplomacy, during 1949-1978, features not only peace, self-determination and independence, which consist in the whole history of China's diplomacy, but also some unique characteristics. The most outstanding one is struggling. Chinese diplomacy is always independent peaceful diplomacy. But from the establishment of People's Republic of China to the end of 1960s, because of the unique domestic and external environment, China inclined to adopt struggling method in defending world peace.Besides struggling, another feature in Chinese diplomacy was the United Front Diplomacy.The thesis is to summarize the theoretical features and logic through analyzing classical exploration of international united front theory made by Marxist classical authors. After that, the thesis summarizes the feature of struggling in China's diplomacy thought. Then the thesis studies the feature of struggling of China's diplomatic practice. Compared the three parts, it is obvious that the struggling feature of Chinese diplomacy is closely related to the thought of International United Front.
