Research On The Evolution Of The Chinese Communist Party’s International Anti-Japanese United Front Strategy During Anti-japanese War(1931-1945)

The thought of international anti-Japanese united front of the CPC originated from Chinese fine traditional culture,the thought of the international united front of the revolutionary pioneers and the strategy of the communist international people’s front.The effect of these three factors makes the CPC’s international anti-Japanese united front strategy have both idealism and realism.For this reason,the CPC’s international anti-Japanese united front strategy often falls into the game between these two relations.In another word,the Communist Party of China is often confronted with the dual test of class nature and national characteristic,which results in two distinct stages during the anti-Japanese war faced by the Communist Party of China in the international united front.In the early period of partial anti-Japanese War,the activism ideology dominated the communist party,and the CPC did not properly practice the principle of independence in the strategic policies relating to both domestic and international issues.Notably,the CPC blindly followed the Soviet union’s instructions.With the increasingly sharp contradictions between China and Japan and the change of the foreign policy,the Communist Party started to adjust their strategy of the international anti-Japanese united front on the basis of the international situation.The Communist Party included capitalist countries such as Britain and the United States in its international united front camp,but the capitalist countries still wanted to sell China’s interests to gain their own advantages.Meanwhile,with the friction intensification between Kuomingtang-Communist’s cooperation,the Chinese Communist Party has once again turned the nature of war into the imperialist struggle for world hegemony.But in the practical application of its foreign policy,the communist party still has room for manoeuvre.Because the united front consists of both unity and struggle,the Communist Party still attaches great importance to the overall situation to guard against reactionary forces at home and abroad.Especially in the middle and later period of the anti-Japanese war,the Communist Party of China made unremitting efforts to maintain the international anti-Japanese united front and managed to contribute to the victory of the anti-japanese war.During the anti-Japanese war,the formation and development of the CPC international anti-Japanese united front was the origin of its foreign relations.Afterwards,the foreign policy after the war of liberation and the founding of new China can be clearly seen as the projection of the international experience accumulated by the CPC during the anti-Japanese War.It is certain that the CPC’s international anti-Japanese united front strategy is still a treasure experience for the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics and great-power diplomacy in the new era.
