Some Thoughts On Anti - Cult "Falungong"

In this paper, the author discussed the "falungong" of contemporary China and its governance issues based on the basic principles of political science, psychology , law and sociology, and given some control measures on combating and preventing the "falungong" cult.Anti-cult has become an important issue of the world. Why did the cult confuse the people of the world? The author tried to find a key to solve this problem. Based on this idea,the author Selected the largest and the most typical cult—"FalunGong" for study to search for the essence of the cult.First of all, this paper compared cult with religion. The definition of the cult is "using religion and other cultural formation of anti-social doctrine, and to others as a means of spiritual control, and as extremist groups against social security." Generally speaking, the cult has the characteristics of adoring the founder of a religion, fabricating heresy, mind control, defrauding money, secret association, impairing society. The emergence and development of the cult is not isolated social phenomenon. There is a profound social and historical background.Second, the author discussed "Falungong" cult’s creation, development, growth, transformation process, inside and outside organization and activities of the status quo. At the same time, the paper also analysed the reasons for the emergence and development of the "Falungong" organization.Third, the article gave an analysis on the main features and its Sociological reasons of the "FalunGong" cult. "FalunGong" had been able to breed in contemporary China. There must be social, psychological, religious and other reasons, for example social control mechanisms weaken, social groups lose faith, superstition and pseudo-science, and so on. External factors had a specific age and social background. In the short term, it is difficult to make substantive changes. Under these conditions, it is very necessary to analysis the religious confusion and spiritual deceptiveness of "FalunGong" cult.Fourth, in addition to the external reasons, strong religious confusion, the harsh spiritual control, serious social harm are also important internal factors. "Use of religious concept, spiritual control, against the law" is the most important traits of "FalunGong" cult. The harm of "Falungong" has harms is far greater than the other religions. It is a threat to national security and social stability.Finally, this article gave some basic laws based on the discussion and analysis. This paper concluded that: Chinese society is in transition. The government and the community are remodeling. Various trends of thought will stage performances. There will be various social ills. In this situation, in order to maintain social stability, protect people’s safety, we should not only crack down on the cult, but also make great efforts to fundamentally eliminate the social basis of the cult. Therefore, we should constantly improve the legal system, strengthen the ideological construction, popularize scientific knowledge, strict social management according to the development of the situation.
