The conflict and interaction between law and consuetude is one of the important research areas in legal sociology. Based on the flourishing and fruitful documents and referential data, the research carries out the systemic analysis on the visiting sexual system with the methods of depth interviews, field investigation and legal sociology, etc. What the research has found are: firstly, whatever from the specific legal provisions, or from the historic perspective, or from the functional angle, the conflicts exists between the national laws and the visiting sexual system. Secondly, the historical changes of visiting sexual consuetude and the flexibility of the national laws (when carrying out) make the relations of both turn gradually from the confrontation and conflict into coordination and interaction. Thirdly, the collective legislation of regulations and agreements not only embodies Moso ethnic customary law, but also safeguard the dignity of the national laws。It is the results of conformity between national law and Moso customary law.
